My premium is quite competitive, and all my experiences with them have been positive so far. They are very polite and helpful when I call. My last call was to get the security advantage feature added. To my surprise it was added in less than 40 min. and it was free. AIG gives me a fast response time, and their website is great too. I've read several bad reviews about aig, but then again you'll find complaints about any auto insurance company. We exchanged info. but it turns out his was bogus, so I had to wait over 2 weeks for my insurance company to track him down. After that I had to wait more than three weeks for aig to decide if it was his fault or not. The finally decided in my favor and offered to pay an amount that was half of what the repairs would cost. Now my car has been in the shop for over two weeks waiting for aig to inspect the repairs. The moral of the story is don't get hit by an aig insured driver. I insured my daughter to drive my car. AIG insurance handled my policy needs perfectly. I suspect I could get a better price if I shopped around, but I was happy to get everything I needed in one stop, so I just took the AIG policy. I was surprised to see my rates go up so much do the fact that I chose to pay monthly. If you go with AIG, you should try not to pay by the month if you want to save a few more dollars.
