    Get A CLUE Report

    By admin | June 28, 2007

The first step when shopping around for a new auto insurance company, or policy is to get a free C.L.U.E auto loss history report (Comprehensive Loss Underwriting Exchange) for yourself and anyone else who might be added to the policy. If there’s any possibility that someone may have had a claim filed, on their behalf, or against them, this report will give you the details.

Obviously, this wouldn’t be necessary for a first time driver, but most others could benefit. This report will give you the details of any auto insurance claim filed in the last five years for any individual including date of loss, loss type, and amount paid along with general information such as policy number, claim number and insurance company name.

This report is same one which will be used by any prospective insurance companies when determining your risk factors. By getting the report yourself, you’ll know of problems there may be before going through the trouble of shopping for a new insurance policy. If your considering adding someone else to your policy, the report could help you make a final decision.

There are many factors which go into your overall risk factor, but as with your credit report, you should make sure all the information in your C.L.U.E. report is accurate. Mistakes can be made, and you could be paying more than you should for your premiums.
